Job Description

100+ approved pharmaceutical products/strengths/dosage forms in Canada, the Packaging Specialist ensure compliance with all packaging components for all safety updates, launches, site transfers, text and technical changes, reworks and Marketing requirements.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Initiate and manage Artwork Requests for safety updates, text changes, site transfers, launches, technical changes and reworks using all Artwork tools, SAP and SCM Project Calendar.
• Manage CPO compliance with Novartis Product Stewardship Safety Label Guidelines and Compliance with Health Canada guidelines. Manages relationship with local vendor for launches and reworks and with Global for all projects.
• Track, maintain and ensures technical specifications and high quality artwork resulting in printed packaging materials, in conjunction with Global Artwork Operations and third party vendors.
• Optimizing number of changes to provide minimal disruption for customers within the organization for existing products and new products within pre-determined lead-times for Gen Meds, ONCO & Vaccines. To ensure on-time Launches and Line Extensions.
• Evaluates risks and analyses artwork changes in order to provide a recommendation for decision-making with internal colleagues (DRA, QA, Marketing) and external customers (Global, Third parties).
• Manage GTINs in SAP, barcoding on packaging, SKU WorkFlow and Master Fact Sheet Database
• Support the compliance function of the Regulatory Affairs department in various tasks and responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:
• Bachelors Degree, knowledge of graphic design, an asset, and 5 years’ experience in similar role with pharmaceutical background and proficiency in packaging and labeling technology
• Change agility, ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
• Agility to work autonomously, strong attention to details
• Superior organization and time management skills
• Strong relationship management skills
• Intermediate Bilingualism – Oral and Written: English and French.
