The Global Drug Development (GDD) organization oversees the development of new medicines discovered by our researchers and partners. We transform the lives of people by developing innovative and life-changing medicines.

The Associate Expert, Drug Supply will function in a hybrid supply chain role, where he/she/they will execute warehouse activities as well as have buying and planning responsibilities. This role will represent Durham North Carolina warehouse needs as well as addressing or resolving material issues based on experience, written procedures and analytical analysis. He/she/they will function as a supporting team member to Supply Chain Projects and initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Receive and ship all materials that come in and out of the Durham, NC facility. This includes hazmat shipments, export shipments and temperature sensitive shipments.
• Partner with the supply chain team to ensure inventory levels are accurate and materials are stored in the appropriate locations, including organizing the warehouse in accordance with appropriate systems and processes.
• Locates and stores all inventory items in the ERP system and physically locate them.
• Works with Process Development and Analytical Labs for materials that are required and need to be issued out, and will expedite and revises orders to meet the changing needs of the business.
• Stays current on all training and shipping regulations.
• Works closely with suppliers and the site Buyer/Planner to develop and maintain a working knowledge of our materials and processes.
• Assists the Supply Chain Team in tracking raw materials, fixing incoming receipt errors and meeting weekly with suppliers, and track all raw materials from time of purchase to time of receipt.
• Maintains data within the ERP system.

Minimum Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

• H.S. Diploma; B.S. degree is preferred.
• 1 year of pharmaceutical warehouse material handling experience.
• Proficient in MS Office suite of products.
• Must be able to attain forklift certification.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, detail oriented.
• Must be physically able to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs.) safely.
• Must work well in a team setting. Must maintain a professional work environment.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
