As a Formulation and Process Scientist you will lead and manage technical development activities for assigned project role within Product Development of inhaled medicines. You will function as a core member of the technical project team to support the definition of the technical strategy for the development, submission, and approval of a product. Depending on the level and area of expertise, the job title and objectives will be different.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Act as core member of technical project team under the lead of the team lead.
• Define setup of study tasks for working packages in the field of formulation and process development within accountability of the assigned project role in close collaboration with project leader.
• Write relevant parts of studies and drive development decisions according to regulatory requirements and available data.
• Present generated results of a pharmaceutical dossier and compile regulatory responses in the registration phase of the pharmaceutical product.
• Coordinate assigned project activities with internal and/or external partners, such as the clinical team and the analytical team, universities, co-development organizations and external development organizations.
• Proactively communicate key issues and any other critical topics of assigned projects in a timely manner to project leader, line manager and customer. Ensure that issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
• Assess and consolidate with project leader and other key stakeholders all resource needs and timelines for assigned projects.
• Keep knowledge up to date with regards to quality and regulatory guidelines as well as technical trends, especially in the area of inhalation development.
• Evaluate, develop and implement new technologies.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Academic degree in science, minimum B. Sc.
• More than 2 years of working experience within the formulation or process development field within industry (preferably inhalation and/or oral solid dosage forms)
• Fluent in English and ideally in German
• Fundamental understanding of quality standards and policies within pharmaceutical industry
• Basic knowledge in GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines
• Experience in drug development and basic understanding in technical development

Desirable Requirements:
• Scientific leadership skills
• Proficient skills in presentation and scientific writing
