Over 650 associates dedicated to innovative cancer therapies in NIBR Oncology!
NIBR Oncology is seeking a highly motivated, resourceful individual to join the Oncology Operations team to support our daily lab operations in our Cambridge facility.
The successful candidate will collaborate hands-on with both our Oncology scientists and the larger lab operations community at NIBR to create a safe and efficient lab environment. The candidate must be able to network across a large organization, handle a diverse array of tasks each day, as well as communicate effectively. Familiarity with a biology lab setting is essential.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Collaborate with Oncology scientists and local leadership to understand the research needs and ensure an organized and functional lab space.
• Accountable for the local site operations including advising on the efficient maintenance of lab assets required to support scientific goals.
• Provide a key interface between lab associates and supporting NIBR functions, including Facilities, Health Safety & Environment (HS&E), Scientific Operations, and Procurement to provide effective support of Oncology lab operations
• Oversee the support through the Lab Equipment Management including maintenance, inventory, life cycle management insights, etc. Support the ordering and installation of lab equipment.
• Responsible for the coordination internal lab moves and lab space for new hires, drive changes for space optimization.
• Oversee and maintain labs to ensure full compliance with Health Safety & Environment program, Business Continuity, Sustainability initiatives and Compliance.
• Represent the department within the local Operations community, internal support functions and external collaborators and vendors.
• Leads projects and/or initiatives that can be used across groups in other locations
• Support meeting budget targets and prepare reports on mostly local spend and headcount.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. degree in a scientific subject area with 5+ years working in a drug discovery environment.
• Highly skilled at problem-solving and has expertise in analytical skills. Provides detailed instruction and recommends process changes.
• Effective communicator with key stakeholders acting as a departmental advocate.
• Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, reasoning ability, and skills in managing people and projects
• Operational experience required working in a lab environment.
• Can integrate and interpret complex information to communicate to an audience unfamiliar with the subject.
