The Executive Director, Digital Asset Management, will be responsible for owning and delivering the product vision, capability and deployment roadmap, product budget and key metrics for the experience, adoption and utilization to meet our US first approach ambition and scale for all other markets in line with the Global Next Generation Engagement (NGE) strategy for Innovative Medicines. This will be done in alignment with the overall functionality roadmap for FUSE (MLR) at an enterprise level. This role will report directly into the Head, Product Management, partnering with the UX and CX Research Lead(s), Technology Transformation (TT) and other internal teams to design customer-centric configurations and meet aligned business and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle (from build, to launch, to run and through ongoing engagement and refinement).

The role is accountable for working with key internal functions to ensure effectiveness and accessibility of product and technology solutions, redefining how Novartis uses key business processes and the technology to unlock customer value and create effective and advanced marketing and customer facing campaigns.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Establish and lead the Product Management for Digital Asset Management
• Consistently work within the defined approach of product feature identification, product prioritization, product interdependencies, product governance, communications, ways of working and best practice sharing across the Innovative Medicines organization in partnership and collaboration with the Technology Transformation
• Partner globally with the Technology Transformation Product Management Lead on the technical prioritization, build, delivery and launch in an agile manner
• Actively contribute to and collaborate with product managers within Integrated Marketing & Customer Experience, along with other strategic partner functions product management teams (e.g., PSS), to enable a cohesive community of practice across Innovative Medicines that is scaling knowledge and technology effectively and operating effectively with consistent and reliable execution excellence
• Align Digital Asset Management roadmaps to the 3-year product vision and strategy for software products within Innovative Medicines, and ensure interdependencies are identified and proactively managed across the full content supply chain
• Work to obtain input and feedback from key stakeholders to align product strategy and deliver on business outcomes
• Fully participate in the annual planning effort, including budgeting and planning, as well as defining group objectives and key metrics that support the organizations’ objectives for Digital Asset Management
• Regularly incorporate feedback loops from software users into the software strategy, designs and release schedule
• Identify and operationalize product development sprints and identify enhancement opportunities
• Develop and manage ongoing process for collecting product feedback, developing, and prioritizing the backlog of new product opportunities
• Partner with external and internal partners to ensure adherence to standards (privacy and regulatory)
• Actively participate in technology vendor selection efforts that are led by Technology Transformation team to ensure identification of desired user outcomes, evaluating end user and process capabilities, and making recommendations
• Support solution delivery responsibilities (e.g., opportunity assessments and prioritization, budgeting & planning, status reporting, management of issues, risks, decisions and actions across technology solutions, communications, and resource management)

This position will be located at East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field is required; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of related leadership & technical experience in Product Management, or similar, with multi-functional experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience leading and operating effective marketing technology configurations and integrations that drive performance and enable effective customer engagement and marketing activities Relevant experience in transforming the businesses through next generation engagement and related product management operations
• Understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal guardrails and policies
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders and teams including Product, Technology Transformation, Communications, Privacy, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance and Global
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
