As a Value Chain Manager, you will play a major role to ensure business continuity and best-in-class internal/external partnering to achieve greater milestones across all business units of the Novartis Global Health. Position Purpose:
Successful management of all operational activities in malaria and/or NGO business to support reaching patient reach targets.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Execution and cross-functional coordination of activities to drive operational excellence in malaria business
• Coordinate Inventory management with SCM (plan replenishment prior to customer order, manage inventory including unconfirmed tender demand in the planning, limit write-offs)
• Update forecast in alignment with relevant functions (SAM, finance, NTO)
• Co-lead sales/patient reach reporting with finance/digital team
• Follow up on order status with SCM and support all malaria customer related topics (customer blocks, PFIs, HA license updates etc.) in collaboration with Nphs business partners.
• Align directly with Kurtkoy to ensure goods availability on time and to manage complexity in planning (e.g. multiple API sources, packaging material etc.)
• Support implementing cost reduction strategies in collaboration with NTO
• Contribute in discussions with NTO all malaria business related activities, e.g. VSI business with Chemonics, lead time alignment, align on packaging material inventory, regulatory set-up for change implementations.
• Coordinate with site LCMs and global regulatory team all major change implementations to meet technical requirements from the customers (e.g. artwork, GS1 barcoding implementation, serialization)
• Coordinate GDSN data sharing and regular update for Coartem (with Nphs master data team)

2) Support Team Lead on customer engagement
• Regular follow up with customer on open demand
• Attend meetings with customers to provide inputs regarding supply
• Coordinate tender inputs (supply/product relevant inputs)
• Coordinate Contract reviews (supply/product relevant clauses)
• Prepare performance review (inputs on OTIF, supply concerns, Coordinate API tracking, other inputs required by NTO) and attend performance review meetings

3) Support broader value chain team in execution of operational topics (e.g. forecast updates).

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in business/economics, or in technical/scientific field, having relevant experience of min 8+ yrs in the supply chain field.
• Knowledge/experience in Supply Chain. SAP knowledge preferable
• Experience in cross-functional project coordination
• Experience in customer/account management
• Experience in tender management
• International experience and exposure to different cultures.
