This is your unique opportunity to become the Head of Quality Control at our manufacturing site in Targu Mures. Our department operates two testing units: the Laboratory for Internal Testing and the Laboratory for External Testing.
Novartis Head of Quality control will be responsible and liable for the performance of the Quality Control department, including the efficiency of operations, ensuring a compliant, competitive, efficient, and effective execution of the analytical testing of pharmaceutic products, including the performance of stability studies contracted by customers.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Be responsible for quality control of the analyzed products
• Implement local quality system that complies with the company's standards, local regulations, and all regulations in the respective countries where the products are marketed and ensure the department’s preparedness for inspection with a high level of compliance
• Represent the department before the health authorities
• Ensure that the service performed complies with the requirements of the Quality Contracts signed with customers and local procedures
• Ensure establishment and implementation of appropriate communication processes to enable the proper exchange of information with customers and other key stakeholders at different levels of the organization
• Ensure adequate and timely escalation to the management of any problems related to the quality of the products and of the quality system
• Ensure cost-effective and efficient department operation, bring innovative approach to improve productivity, while implementing best practice and harmonizing standards
• Be responsible for selection, training, development and performance evaluation of subordinates

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University Degree from accredited university in Chemistry or Pharmacy, with good knowledge of Analytical Chemistry
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Quality Control/ Quality Assurance Manager at a Pharmaceutical Production unit
• Proficiency Level of Romanian and English (both verbal and written)
• Strong knowledge of compliance, analytical and regulatory aspects of pharmaceuticals

Desirable requirements:
• Familiarity with concepts and tools of lean philosophy and lean transformation projects
• Excellent communication skills
