Patient Safety Specialist (m/f/d) 80%-100%, GDD Patient Safety, Vienna, Austria

7! This is the number of associates who are currently working within our Patient Safety Team. The Patient Safety Specialist supports the management of vigilance operational processes at Country Organization in ensuring compliance with Novartis global/local procedures, national and international regulations/standards/guidelines for pharmacovigilance of Novartis marketed and investigational products.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Managing collection, processing, documentation, reporting and follow-up of all Spontaneous Reports (SR) and adverse event reports from Patient Oriented Programs (POPs), post-marketing studies (PMS), registries, clinical trials for all Novartis products.
• Perform reconciliation with other departments (e.g. Medical Information, Quality Assurance and third party contractors) for potential AEs resulting from medical inquiries, quality related complaints and other sources.
• Establishing, maintaining and overseeing vigilance agreements with partners and vendors
• Managing the safety part of Social Media Activities and other Digital Assets
• Act as back up for other functions eg RMP, patient support & market research programs (POPs)

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• A degree in medicine, pharmacy, health discipline or life sciences
• Knowledge of national and international regulations for pharmacovigilance
• Knowledge of pharmacological and medical terminology
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Quality and focus oriented
• Fluent in English and German

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 47,455.52/year (on a full time basis). We also offer a potential market oriented excess payment in line with your experience and qualifications.
