Job Description

Responsible for ensuring sales operation plan is created, aligned with stakeholders and executed to achieve sales and broader performance targets. Develop sales force through implementation of key commercial programs, frameworks agreed upon with internal stakeholders, and management of key stakeholders in hospitals and wholesalers.

 Accountable for executing Sales and Marketing strategies and tactics to achieve sales target through the sales force, and is responsible for the brands’ strategic and tactical planning in line with the business unit strategy and standards.
 Develop and execute on sales targets (area-specific), aligning with necessary stakeholders for review; Develops and implement framework to verify: sales promotions, promotional activities, pricing, incentive management KPIs and optimization of target hospitals.
 Monitors, analyses, and manages performance progress management, identifying any issues and formulating measures to remediate issues through Sales Force Area Managers or Wholesalers; Plans and executes wholesaler strategy while acting as the liaison to the wholesaler team for the business unit, and developing and maintaining relationships with wholesalers.
 Manages the contract sales force as the liaison with the CSO headquarters, and ensures periodic (at minimum weekly) meetings are held to ensure KPI performance is communicated, expectations are aligned, and should any issues arise (performance, communication, contractual), they are remediated by incorporating necessary stakeholders and executing on a remediation plan;
 Ensure monthly training programs are developed and communicated to necessary stakeholders; Manages and optimizes effective allocation of resources to deliver required business results. Manages expense budgets.
 Periodically review Sales Organization for optimization or growth on a short-to-mid-term basis.
 Serves as a communication bridge between headquarters to the sales force.
 Ensures Excellency in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Services; Complete all reporting and administrative requirements in a timely and accurate manner; Operates within Novartis compliance, policies and procedures; and creates a culture that ensures all reports, direct and indirect, do the same.

Minimum Requirements

Languages: Japanese at native level and English desirable
Qualification ・ Driver License / 普通自動車免許
Experience:  Sales in Healthcare / Pharma / related business
 Pre-launch activities
 Able to understand changing dynamics of Pharmaceutical industry
 Market Knowledge and Network is desirable
