Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Establish ethics and compliance standards and compliance frameworks based on internal policies (e.g., Code of Conduct, SP3 and SOPs) and local law and regulations. Conduct on-boarding as well as continuous training on compliance standards, business practices and current developments. Independently conduct compliance reviews and approvals. Lead and conduct compliance monitoring and risk self-assessments. Develop processes to self-monitor the compliance program. Actively engage in Global Compliance initiatives.
• Establish an annual local training plan for Code of Ethics (CoE), SUO, AB, P3s (and en-sure on-boarding and annual refreshers on compliance standards and business practices are conducted). Regularly monitor the completion of (e)-training courses and (e)-certification of CoE, and take appropriate action to ensure the agreed completion target for (e)-training (95%) and (e)-certification of CoE (100%) are met.
• Ensure system for documenting and evidencing training completion is followed. Champion speak-up, transparency and a culture of integrity throughout the organization. Continually provide advice and guidance to the business on compliance topics and challenges. Actively follow trends in the market, regulatory environment including in business practices. Support the China Compliance Officer to foster ethical behavior by promoting the inclusion of compliance criteria in management and associates objectives
• Assess risks. Inform country leadership and China Compliance Officer on identified compliance risks. Align compliance risk mitigation plan with management and China Compliance Officer. Closely Monitor the process and identify risk areas in Compliance Project execution to ensure the minimization of the compliance risks in Sandoz China.
• Conduct self-assessments to monitor the status of the compliance program, within the respective division at local level. Ensure a self-assessment is conducted annually.
• If possible and as requested, support or conduct investigations of alleged misconduct based on allocation of responsibility by the SUO.
• Following the closing of the investigation by the SUO, identify and support implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of misconduct.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Education: University Degree in business/finance , medicine or law or other relevant
• Experience: 4-6 years internal controls/compliance (legal, regulatory or quality) independent practice experience; MNC experience preferred; Total of 6+years of professional experience; Healthcare industry experience is a plus;
• Ability to work in a complex, high growth, matrix environment dealing with continuous change and occasionally conflicting priorities.
• Languages: Fluent English and local language
• Key Competencies: Drive results, Strategic Mind set, Collaborate, Managerial Courage
