Senior Legal Counsel B2B (m/f/d), Sandoz Global B2B, Kundl, Austria

As (Senior) Legal Counsel, you will be a further key member of the B2B Legal team with its mission to provide strategic, business-focused legal support related to all activities of the global Sandoz B2B business. Your Responsibilities:

In this new role you will:

• Provide high-quality legal support and act as a direct business partner for all activities of the global Sandoz B2B business in a highly diverse and international environment;

• Draft and negotiate complex and high value commercial contracts with B2B customers around the globe, including complex licensing and supply, distribution and contract manufacturing agreements, in line with legal requirements and internal guidelines and policies.

• Assess legal risks to the business and work with the rest of the B2B Legal team to define and implement solutions to manage these risks, including trainings and communications.

• Manage potential and actual legal disputes and provide robust assessments of contractual claims and proposed solutions.

• Drive simplification and standardization projects and support the implementation of new tools and systems.

• Provide contextual guidance to the business with strong operational and business acumen, setting legal requirements in context with operational needs as well as transactional and strategic aspects.

• Always act in close collaboration with the relevant business partner and in coordination with other relevant members of the legal function within the Novartis Group.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• University degree in law (preferred: in a continental European or common law jurisdiction)
• Bar eligibility and/or postgraduate education are an asset
• Minimum of 8-10 years relevant post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a pharmaceutical/healthcare environment or with a top-tier law firm representing healthcare clients
• Documented success in drafting and negotiating international contracts and ability to analyze complex legal issues
• Sound experience in handling a high volume of activity involving multiple and complex projects simultaneously
• Strong verbal & written communication skills, together with a high ability to influence and negotiate
• A professional & culturally sensitive work ethic
• Fluency in English essential, knowledge of German is beneficial.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 69,735,96/year (on a full time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
