As Business Development Lead W-CH, you have the overall responsibility for developing long-term business relationships with our strategic customers in the French speaking part of Switzerland. You drive sales by understanding in depth the needs and requirements of the designated customers for whom you develop and implement long lasting client focused solutions.

Your Responsibilities:
• Reinvent our current commercial model from a product-centric approach to a customer-centric approach focusing on understanding the needs of the account
• Engage regional C-suite and commercial key decision makers particularly at hospitals and large private centers
• Identify needs, collect insights and define areas of collaboration as well as provide portfolio-based solutions to uncover business potential
• Collect internally (cross-functionally and across the franchises) all the relevant business needs and align with internal stakeholders on implementation of the W-CH Key Account Strategy
• Relationship building with key stakeholders (doctors, pharmacists, CEOs, medical controllers and other decision-makers) to ensure long term professional partnerships and creating new networks
• Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements and report insights back to Novartis, but also plan and execute promotional activities and services (e.g. educational events, experience exchange meetings, etc.) towards customers accordingly
• Lead or support discussions and negotiations with payors (e.g., insurances, BAG) and buying groups in W-CH
• Develop new relationships with various regional stakeholders, such as universities, innovation hubs active in the healthcare environment

Minimum Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:
• University Degree in Health Science, Medicine or Economics or proven equivalence through business experience
• 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience, ethical promotion of products to specialist physician targets
• Key Account experience paired with a good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare environment
• Analytical and strategic skills to evaluate commercial success, propose and adapt key stakeholder strategy and commercial terms
• Proficiency in French, English and German (written and spoken)
