Position Purpose:
Provide leadership, strategic direction and technical expertise on driving Operations management, Operational & Service perfection for Sandoz Kalwe plant. Oversees the site daily operation within the Manufacturing Unit, in a way that is consistent with a culture of self-direction (empowerment and accountability), to produce and deliver high quality products to customers in a compliant, efficient, and cost effective manner.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Driving new projects and initiatives at the site, in line with the big bold objective of site and department. To support and facilitate any new upcoming projects at site like but not limited to product transfer, in time execution of new product planning and delivery etc. To collect and analyse data from stakeholders, compile reports and drive management information system for resource utilization, production, quality overview and financial reports for site head and site.
• To facilitate driving and monitoring projects of Alternate Vendor Development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient in coordination with MS&T Head and in collaboration with site QA head. To drive Yield & OAE (Overall equipment Efficiency) Improvement. Identify Productivity Improvement projects from Production,Engineering,QA/QC & drive for Implementation. Project Management for Key high value CAPEX projects of site
• To drive OPEX function at site. Tracking and delivering the results for the defined OPEX projects, to develop a culture of OPEX at site, to drive training and mentor OPEX and lean six sigma project team members.
• Think Novartis Site Administrator: As a site administrator for Think Novartis, drive, monitor and promote idea generation at the site. Manage idea management portal- Think Novartis and resolve the issues related with it. Conduct Think Novartis committee meetings as and when required to finalise on the ideas which have big saving potential. Site Business Continuity Champion: Develop and BCM plan with inputs from key stakeholder.
• Enlist and keep a record of BCM team, complete a BCM Control checklist annually. Be a liaison between NTO business Continuity lead and BCM team at site.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering, Lifesciences, Pharmaceuticals, operations management, Business management. Certification: Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt/Certified Agile Scrum/ Project management training / certification
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in handling multi-functional Projects, Programs, Operations & Organizational Change with internal and external partners. Demonstrated ability to handle budgets, operational metrics and cross-divisional coordination.
• Exposure to production/ manufacturing environment / GxP processes
• Excellent communication, people management, partners management and leadership skills. Ability to ensure service focus across a complex person intensive and functionally-dispersed organization
• Preferred to have understanding of Pharma business and financial issues, including its regulatory environment (Shared Services / CoE experience preferred). Strong and proactive business results-focus, and consistent track record to provide insights that increase efficiency
• Comfortable using project management tools (such as MS Project) and Agile toolkit - JIRA, Confluence etc. High level of proficiency in creating Excel dashboards/score cards and impactful Power point presentations. Out-of-the-box problem solver with EXCELLENT verbal and written communication skills.
