Job Description

More than 380! That’s the number of associates in our Singapore Large Molecules division to support the making of medicines for our patients worldwide.

• Responsible for supporting manufacturing with technical knowledge within a defined discipline of upstream operations including aseptic operation, cell expansion and large scale (10KL) cell culture production, harvesting etc. in a mammalian cell culture production facility
• Will be responsible to lead/ manage cross teams/ stakeholders to deliver complex projects/ initiatives and provide mentorship and guidance to other junior personnel within the same functions
• Coordinating and planning of all activities with end-to-end manufacturing responsibility (logistics, project work, operational excellence, resources and budget/costs) in a way that is consistent with a culture of self-direction (empowerment and accountability)
• Ensures full compliance with quality, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), customer service, statutory, regulatory and Novartis requirements
• Providing technical expertise in support of all issues linked to electronic batch records (eBRs)
• Delivers technical training and assessed learning outcomes for the assigned scope
• Design and develop learning interventions and lead training audit response for site.

Minimum Requirements

• University degree in Science is required, Pharmacy or Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience in operation in manufacturing site
• Must have experience in Cell Culture and leading a project
• Good scientific and technical (automation) understanding
• Change management, adaptability, ability to work under pressure
• Good understanding or capacity to quickly understand production processes
