Job Description

To lead the OBU Turkey sales and marketing activity for a Business Franchise, including development and implementation of marketing strategies, goals and operational plans to maximize sales and product performance for the Novartis range of products. Accountable for sales of BF products.

- The delivery of Business Franchise organisation objectives through effective leadership and management of the marketing team and sales force team as well as effective working relationships with relevant internal functions.
- Responsible for high performance sales and marketing organizations in place and working effectively and collaboratively within the BF, OBU, and relevant functional areas.
- Develop a clear, well communicated business vision for the BF that can be reflected in focused, lean enriched country organisations where this vision can be turned out into excellent implementation of tactical plans.
- Set management objectives and manage performance based on assessment of individual, team and country performance vs. these objectives.
- Responsible for effective leadership, management, talent acquisition, succession planning and talent development within the BF. Directly responsible for coaching and partnering with direct reports on building and implementing their development plans and conducting their performance appraisal discussions.
- Ensure competitive benchmarking of compensation and incentive schemes is completed and applied in consultation with BU Head, Region Head and HR.
- Field visits to understand the implementation of strategies, market environment and customer satisfaction.
- Build a best in class marketing organization that fully leverages all Oncology and BF marketing systems and programs. Oversee the effective implementation of the marketing plans through the marketing team.
- Build a best in class sales organization that fully utilities all Oncology and BF sales management systems and selling instruments in order to drive sales results through various customer channels including doctors and decision makers at hospital institutions.
- Ensure Novartis Promotion Practices (NP4) are appropriately followed.
- Manage the P&L including the delivery of top line and bottom line results.
- Ensure that marketing and sales budgets are managed within agreed upon limits and plans are effectively implemented.
- Responsible for monthly spot landing estimates, forecast risks and opportunities for brands and country environment in alignment with Oncology.
- To manage through the marketing/product management team the MPH, marketing/annual operating planning process. To ensure the team identity critical success factors and develop well through marketing programs core to addressing CSFs and implementing approved product strategies within agreed budgets. To ensure plans/strategies accommodate the changes taking place in the market and respond to customer needs.
- To oversee the effective implementation of the key product marketing plans through the marketing team in line with MPH standards and corporate strategy. To ensure budgets are managed within agreed limits and plans are effectively implemented.
- Responsible for setting performance management objectives based on relevant marketing plans and assessment of individual performance vs. objectives. To be responsible for the effective leadership, management, coaching and counseling of the marketing and sales team. Responsible for training needs analysis and personal development of direct reports and for the formulation of the training and development plans.

Minimum Requirements

- University degree
- >5 years Sales & Marketing experience in a pharmaceutical / healthcare industry
- Proficiency in English & Native Turkish speaker
