As an Information Security Architect you will work across information security and risk management and with all information technology functions to ensure cyber security tools are designed and implemented as per defined policies, standards and industry good practices. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with deep technical skills and, more importantly, a pragmatist who can think outside the box. The individual must be highly collaborative as they will need to influence functional leadership, project and application managers, other architects, engineers and developers

• Develop and maintains the cyber security capability roadmap and strategy, and works with cyber security services to align their technology and service roadmaps. Will participate in the Cyber security Technical Design Authority
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures related to Privileged access management to meet business and regulatory requirements
• Design security measures and overall domain security architecture for the IT landscape in line with the Novartis policy framework
• Provide ongoing support to maintain the PAM (Privileged Access Management) effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing required technologies
• Provides in depth expertise to Cyber Security topics
• Supports projects where a major deviation is required from security standard design
• Owns cyber security related internal standards
• Identifies major internal cyber security related deficiencies and defines/design the official pragmatic approach on how to remediate them at scale
• Promotes IT Security culture

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 8+ years’ of working experience with at least 2 years’ experience as a security architect
• 2+ years’ experience in management or lead positions in a matrix organization
• Experience in design and/or implementation of PAM solutions
• Experience in definition of security policies
• Excellent understanding of public cloud technologies and related deployments
• Experience in reporting to and communicating with senior level management (with and without IT background), with and without in depth risk management background on information risk topics
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of general IT infrastructure technology, systems and management processes
• Experience of sourcing complex IT services, working closely with vendors and making full use of their capabilities
• Proven experience to initiate and manage projects that will affect other divisions, departments and functions, as well as the corporate environment.
