Your key responsibilities:
• Leads Launch Excellence unit by defining necessary governance to ensure that the right systems, processes, metrics, and key performance indicators are in place to successful execute and manage the innovative medicines launch process.
• Responsible for appropriate organizational design, defining objectives, and preparing and managing budgets.
• Collaborate with all involved functions (TRD, Technology Platforms Strategy etc.) to ensure on time in full launches. Ensures seamless collaboration.
• Owner of all launch related activities for NME, such as: commercial input into late phase development activities (in time and with adequate quality), launch site evaluation, process transfer (bulk & packaging), validation (including respective registration documents), PAI preparation and inspection, availability of launch supplies.
• Provides launch support to all platform sites and 3rd party suppliers.
• Supports BD&L activities for innovator product.
• Network effectively across Novartis and wider industry forums to identify future opportunities for collaboration and to maintain and communicate across the platform sites best practices.
• Provide leadership to ensure appropriate direction, motivation, retention, and succession to ensure continuity and improvement of launches.

Minimum Requirements

What you will bring to the role:
• MSc. in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical engineering or related scientific or technical discipline from accredited Technical University), PhD desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical and cross-cultural senior leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including plant manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in English.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles and concepts in chemical or biotechnology & pharmaceutical sciences.
• Strong understanding of cGMPs, industry and regulatory standards and guidelines, strong ethical foundation and a sound compliance understanding, pharmaceutical Development, Project Management.
• Good interpersonal skills coupled with demonstrated networking capacities allowing to effectively work in a matrix organization and a multi-disciplinary team environment.
