The Solution Design Expert will work closely with the business and technical teams and is a major contributor to the requirements specification deliverable, writes the business and functional requirements. This person understands business and ensures that there is integration between business and technology. The Solution Design Expert is able to take business requirements and translate them into technical documents, performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the demand management team to prioritizes deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure that system designs adhere to solution architecture design (i.e. high level conceptual design) and are traceable to functional as well as non-functional requirements in projects/enhancements
• Ensure that project/enhancements work is delivered to agreed time, cost and quality constraints following the release calendars
• Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed, formally documented and signed off by business
• Ensure that solution testing is performed to meet quality standards
• Establish standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery
• Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing new solutions and services
• Perform scoping, fit-gap workshops for projects/enhancements, proposes solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimations and align with business teams
• Follow standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery
• Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Solution Design scope
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers to help define what their requirements are, create a detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD), and translate it into functional specifications
• Perform tool consultations and provide demos of the capabilities on ServiceNow
• Collaborates to build, integrate, and improve the ServiceNow platform aligned with the business needs.
• Perform process design workshops with the Business to ensure the process is reflective of the business need and meets the standards prior to enable in the tool.
• Collaborates with technical team / developers and ensures a clear understanding of the requirements.
• Participates in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.
• Analyses multiple requirements from different business domains and draw out synergy’s and make recommendations on how best to deal with the demand.
• Set right expectation with customers and prioritizes deliverables according. Manage resource capacity of the SMS team and report to the service owner on utilization and forecast for future capacity requirements.
• Drive and challenge business units on their requirements and ensure best practice is followed
• Manage user’s requests to differentiate necessary changes and brings value the business.
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
• Chair the demand board upon request by the Service Owner

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT
• 8+ years of experience working as Business Process Expert
• 3+ years’ experience in Access, Excel(Advanced), Visio, and MS Project
• 3+ years of customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentation.
• ServiceNow System Administrator certificate
• Hands on experience of ServiceNow deployment inc a deep understanding of the platform
• 5 years of experience non-IT business.
• Good understanding and knowledge of processes in a global health care industry
• ITIL V3 foundation
• Implementation of new processes or methodologies
• Experience and track record of Continual Service Improvement and process management
• Experience in working within global teams both internal and vendor resources
