Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Develop deep understanding of functional/divisional stakeholder learning objectives and strategy to anticipate needs and provide consultative guidance, CONEXTS Learning service offerings. Deep knowledge and experience with established Learning Design Principles. Represent the CONEXTS Learning team as our authority on Learning Design
• Responsible for establishing, in partnership with Business Stakeholders, the Learning Design Strategy for a Global Business Services group which provides end to end design and development of learning solutions.
• Define the learning design governance framework that enables the development and facilitation of customized learning solutions for a range of audiences with a particular capability to work with senior/executive leaders and high-potential employees.
• Lead the creation and design of key learning programs (face to face, virtual, and self-paced online) integrating adult learning theory into multi-platform learning. Drive new learning and educational technologies and platforms and best practice
• Provide thought, strategic and content design leadership to a global team of learning designers who are actively working on our portfolio of programs and projects. Ensure the content design/development teams are embracing new ways of working, adopting new standards, and using the right tooling.
• Work closely with the Learning Evaluation Manager to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning and development programs on business performance, and create corresponding enhancement plans.
• Plan an evidence-based learning program design for performance-eliciting learning interventions or training. Work closely with Learning Metrics team to study learner data and implement improvements in course/program updates
• Mentor and coach Instructional Designers and Senior IDs. Define learning competencies and role-definition activities to measuring performance. Define the Instructional Design Quality Assurance Framework and/or Guidelines, in line with Novartis Branding and ID methodologies.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• 15+ years of experience in instructional design, training design/content development, and delivery, preferably in Pharmaceutical Development.
• Thought leadership experience in demonstration of expertise, e.g. white papers, speaking at or contributing to learning conferences, strategic input into industry bodies e.g. ATD etc. Detailed knowledge of learning management processes and systems, both current and future.
• 2-3 years experience delivering complex projects to Pharma Sales and Marketing customers. Experience managing complex projects or multiple projects as part of a large program
• Extensive experience in learning needs analysis, learning strategy design, learning thought leadership and learning best practice assessment. Proficient in instructional design & design thinking methodologies
• Extensive know-how on the latest learning trends and technology, the familiarity of learning platforms, xapi statement, LMS, LRS, LXP, mobile learning, VR, adaptive learning, etc. An in-depth understanding of learner needs and performance gaps, and prescribing appropriate learning technologies
• A thorough understanding of adult learning theory, learning design, learning innovation, and technology-based learning solutions. A strong interest and ability in Ideation, Design Thinking, Problem Solving, and Workshop approaches to uncovering and solving complex learning needs
• Direct people management preferred or experience indirectly leading resources as part of a large program
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s degree preferred)
