With 350 associates across 40 countries, Commercial IT is the backbone for Novartis launch excellence and commercial/medical execution. We deliver integrated IT Solutions and Services within an ecosystem of partners.

The Commercial IT team is looking for a highly engaging and experienced Global Service Delivery Manager for Market Access. This role will define and drive the IT strategy and related IT initiatives and programs for Pricing, Revenue Management, and Insights to help advance patient access to Novartis products. It is a key role in regulatory engagement and enabling our markets to launch new products.

The Head of IT Market Access will represent IT to the business, orchestrating, co-innovating, and delivering integrated IT Solutions and Services for revenue management globally, with a significant focus on the US.

What will you be responsible for?
• The main point of IT accountability for Market Access customers across global locations and multiple business domains
• Develop and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, actively manage expectations and satisfaction with IT
• Translate business ambition into technology capabilities to build a patient services IT strategy and delivery roadmap, with sponsorship and funding.
• Follow and anticipate industry best practices, advise on technology choices and vendors, bringing suitable technologies forward for consideration to match business opportunities and innovation.
• Ideate and qualify new concepts, technologies and lead proposals through evaluation and early phases of approval
• Oversee the IT portfolio for the Market Access area delivering capabilities across pricing, payor management, proposal and quote management, contract management, tender management, revenue management, invoice management, and trade operations.
• Accountability for project delivery through active sponsorship, leadership, and involvement to ensure they meet the time, cost, quality, and business needs
• Closely interact and support other IT peers and Centers of Excellence delivering solutions to Market Access Partners.
• Provide leadership and decision-making support by establishing governance to ensure the effective overall use of resources
• Ensure investments are leveraged by establishing an enterprise approach to leveraging solutions (build once; use often). Drive adoption of global solutions
• Accountability for adherence to data privacy, security, SOX, and compliance policies, and procedures within the Market Access portfolio
• Manage the Global Market Access IT Team

Minimum Requirements

What will you bring to the role?

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant business or technical area / Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years of demonstrated ability in a similar role with a proven track record in managing large scale programs ($15m+) across 20+ countries and 10.000+ users
• Understanding of Market Access, Pricing & Government requirements for the pharmaceutical industry, or potential to develop into an internally and externally recognized thought-leader in the field of market access.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial technology platforms and their use to enable commercial business outcomes and reporting, particularly pharmaceutical pricing tools such as Model N
• Progressive experience in digital healthcare and technology solutions,
• Demonstrated success scanning the external technical landscape for emerging solutions and introducing these for consideration, acceptance, and adoption
• Demonstrated leadership skills of leading diverse management teams with 8+ years proven management experience in a matrix org across all geographic regions
• Specialized knowledge of relevant Pharma and/or Oncology in the Commercial Market Access area
• Proven capacity to respond to changes that impact the projects, deal with uncertainty and proactively resolve issues to deliver the best possible outcome
• High learning agility with the ability to transcend seamlessly between different partners
• Ability to work with others in a high paced, fluid, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary team
• Managing Successful Programs and Projects, Safe Agile, PMI, Prince II or equivalent qualification
