Job Description

25! Is the number of biosimilars development projects that are supported by biostatistics. Become part of our team and contribute to driving further developments!

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• The master internship is intended to develop and advance statistical methodologies for evaluation of probability of success (PoS).
• Probability of Success is an extension of the "study power" to reject statistical hypotheses based on distribution functions. While there are already methods and applications for PoS for superiority trials, there are still many unsolved issues for clinical trials with equivalence hypotheses.
• Examples of specific questions that need evaluation are:
o Probability of success in 3 arm trials with multiple hypotheses
o Probability of success in biosimilar programs with multiple decision points.
o The methods could be developed for the analysis of either (or both) quantitative or binary/survival endpoints
• Development of the theoretical foundation and implementation in statistical software packages
• Performance of simulations to evaluate the methods.
• Independent literature review and documentation of the investigations

Cutting-edge development of statistical methodology, based on our recent publications in this field, and further publications planned. High internal visibility of internship, with direct input into one of our statistical working groups to investigate methods for the probability of success theoretically as well as supporting actual development projects. A presentation of the results at a scientific conference would be supported.

The topic is suitable for creating a MSc thesis (6 months). A 3-month internship could be done before to prepare for the topic. Targeted start date is January 2022 or later.
