1 in 3 deaths globally is the number of lives lost that’s 17.6 million deaths annually, 9 million from ischemic heart disease and 6 million from stroke. A third of these deaths being in young people 200m patient lives and preventing 10 million MACE events2 by 2030

The Global New Products Director is a core member of one or more Global Program Teams (GPT) for molecules in clinical development. You will be the lead Commercial member of the GPT, responsible for the integration of commercial strategy and related activities. The NPD is the single point of accountability for the creation of market-driven disease area, and indication, strategies, target product profiles (TPP) with clearly differentiated competitive advantage and Value Propositions (in GPT, NIBR programs and BD&L opportunities), as well as integrated Treatment Maps (ITM) and Patient Journeys (IPJ).

Key Responsibilities:
• NPD is lead responsible for the development of the IPS Integrated Product Strategy
• Provide commercial input to guide the development program and life cycle plans to optimize overall commercial potential.
• Partner with NIBR to support project milestone transitions decisions, and maximize the strategic fit of drug research activities.
• Liaise with key CPO’s to ensure appropriate country/regional input to program strategy and GPT commercial activities.
• The NPD is also the lead commercial support for external opportunities. This requires liaising with BD&L to identify, screen and assess potential in-licensing opportunities, and provide disease area expertise and commercial input.
• Develop, implement and lead market research plans for programs for which you are responsible.
• Develop rich, fact-based, synthesized insights across customers/stake holders including local insights at top 10 CPOs
• Ensure that key insights are incorporated into GPT clinical development and market access strategies. Ensure that clinical/brand optimization study plan reflects critical factors for market access.
• Use in-depth disease area and market knowledge to influence development colleagues, providing strategic direction to clinical trial design.
• Lead Commercial aspects of DDP and FDP transitions, including commercial sections of IPS and other key documents for internal decision making.
• With GP&MA (as co-lead of Value & Access Team, [V&AT]), develop pricing options based on market trends, payer insights and impact on sales/profitability.

Minimum Requirements

What you will bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in science related discipline. PhD/MD/MBA highly preferred.
• Strong experience in BD&L assessments from consulting background.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead and direct a therapeutic area strategy or product strategy and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience of senior leadership negotiation and presentation and meeting leadership skills
• Cross-functional leadership experience. Strong influencing skills, both internally and externally.
• Fluent in English

• Experience in the areas of Heart Failure, Hypertension, Athero or renal disease. Rare disease or orphan experience.
• Commercial & customer focused mindset, including experience in BD&L, M&A assessment and early product commercialization with pricing & market access experience.
