We are in search of a passionate Principal Scientist with experience in laboratory automation and high-throughput screening to join our dynamic team as an automation manager in Cambridge, MA. In this role, you will lead work in programming, maintaining laboratory automation, and working on automation for high-throughput screening. You will have strong expertise with assay development, antibody discovery approaches (hybridoma generation, phage display) and mammalian cell culture.

What you’ll be doing:
• Maintains multiple laboratory automation platforms used for liquid handling, colony picking, protein expression, protein purification, and functional screening of antibodies
• Develops and refines protocols for all steps of antibody discovery and optimization
• Designs and carries out high throughput screens to support antibody discovery and optimization
• Identifies areas of innovation and leads technology development projects in the areas of laboratory automation and HTS
• Train and mentors associates on the team

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll be doing:

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Ph.D. or equivalent in a scientific discipline such as Biology, Chemistry Pharmacology with a minimum 1+ year of experience in automation/HTS; M.S. with a minimum 7+ years of experience in automation/HTS or other related laboratory research; B.S. with a minimum of 9+ years of experience in automation/HTS or other related laboratory research.
