Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the primary connection between Finance service delivery and the Digital business for a given capability
- Analyse and refine requirements for delivering the necessary technology service to business
- Ensure IT services are aligned with business strategy, business objectives, business requirements, standards and regulations. Understand the processes, plans, objectives, drivers, and issues related to the business capability, as well as the appropriate external policies and regulations.
- Identify and qualify new demand with overall responsibility for steering proposals through the early phases of approval
- Participate in establishment of budgets and investment proposals and obtain sponsorship and funding
- Significantly contribute and drive multi-year, large-scale product roadmaps for key finance processes on global & headquarter core applications with significant impact on Novartis financial results
- Ensure the introduction of new / modified services happens in a planned, controlled and timely manner to minimize disruption and maximize benefit
- Provide IT consulting to the capability partners, educate them on IT processes and methodologies and drive adoption of global solutions
- Ensure digital technology impact analysis is provided to business
- Initiate and drive projects from conception to completion with minimal guidance. Be ultimately accountable for the full lifecycle of the solution
- Manage the design of system solutions in alignment with design and architectural standards, while meeting quality, performance, security and business requirements
- Manage project teams in different locations
- Establishes scalable, efficient, automated solutions for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.
- Communicate complex data or algorithms into simple conclusions that will empower leadership to drive action based on the insights you derive.
- Collaborate in multi-functional teams to evaluate business activities, and then develop innovative and effective approaches to tackle team’s analytics problems and communicate results and methodologies.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Solid educational background, MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Finance or Business Administration.
- 7+ years’ experience in multiple assignments in IT, preferably relating to Digital Finance in large multi-national companies.
- Successful global project management experience with distributed teams using Agile, preferably SAFE methodologies.
- Deep, hands-on technical and operational expertise with MS SQL Server (including T-SQL and performance tuning), SQL Integration services, Redgate Toolbelt, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Python, Confluence and Jira.
- Hands on experience using GIT applied to DB development (VS 2019 DB projects and Gitflow)
- Experienced working in CI/CD solutions for highly integrated systems (Teamcity or similar)
- Business fluent in English (written and spoken)

Desirable requirements:
- Fluent in Spanish
- Pluses: Windocks, SQL Analysis Services (multidimensional), MS SQL administration, XRay, Azure, SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAC, Qlik Sense (or other visualization tools)
- MCSA: SQL Server, DB Development or BI Development certification.
- Agile Scrum / SAFe master certification
- Experienced with financial systems and processes
