2! number of locations where we are building up our Global PMO Services organization. As a hierarchical service, PMO as a Service allows for the extension of the PMO services to offer more controlling and directive Project Management structures in line with program/portfolio complexity..

Primary responsibility is to support and drive strategic business projects for Novartis Group, the CEO and the Executive Committee, with the aim of maximizing economic value and securing future competitive advantage. Plan, develop, and lead projects, based around key Novartis products in major markets. Deliver substantially greater outcome improvement than from the product alone. Deliver substantially greater financial rewards for Novartis based on this. To design and deliver an organization-wide capability building program to build a cadre of leaders within Novartis Divisions who can lead such projects and further build capabilities in colleagues. Process responsible for hiring and managing external capability building consultants.

The role is the functional leader of service delivery and governance across the organisation. The role will provide advise and guidance, monitoring and assurance, advocacy in assigned Novartis programs to key program stakeholders, program leads and senior leadership.


Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• The project manager maintains the contact with the divisional strategy teams and plans/coordinates regular update meetings. In addition, the project manager also leads small projects at any time from project scoping, crafting content and managing of stakeholders to generate insights and prepare outputs, which enable informed decisions;
• Prepare regular exchange between community members, e.g. independent organization of the annual Strategy offsite meeting (including agenda, speakers, etc) and ensure transparent communication across the divisional Strategy teams, align closely with stakeholders at country, functional and global level as defined by the requirements of the different projects and initiatives;
• Independently supervise breakthroughs of the projects as well as completion and assists Head of Strategy on larger strategy projects across units and functions as well as countries. Take ownership for subparts of the overall project and ensure completion of these;
• Co-ordinate risk & issue activity in all relevant business areas and establish a level of control consistency. Work with key business stakeholders, program team, project managers to identify Risk & Issues and drive the project/program managers to effectively handle those risks and issues within their own projects
• Providing high level and effective risk management practices, guidance and advice to support the decision making capability of both the transformation program team and its Steering Committee
