500 million patients were touched by Sandoz generic and biosimilar medicines in 2020 and while we’re proud of this, we know there is more we could do to continue to help pioneer access to medicines for people around the world.
The Medical Information & Communication Associate Director will perform all MIC duties independently with minimal guidance from the Executive Director, Services & Operations, will be the deputy for the Executive Director, Services & Operations, and act as a mentor to other MI colleagues. The individual will provide high-quality Medical Information to internal and external partners and perform review of promotional and non-promotional materials for products across the Sandoz portfolio. The AD, MI will also be responsible for Medical Information Website/app and all new digital Medical Information capabilities generation under the oversight of the Executive Director, Services & Operations.
Major Accountabilities
Program Oversight
Lead and deliver timely and high-quality support for all Medical Information projects with greater ownership and accountabilities, including:
• Provide input into the development of Medical Information strategy that is fully aligned and targets diverse US audiences.
• Responsible for supporting multiple therapeutic areas/brands and agility to have cross-therapeutic coverage and expertise.
• Provides strategic insights for department and actively collaborates/aligns with Executive Director, Services & Operations
• Implement and lead Medical Insights role for internal partners and lead continuous communication of appropriate resources. Provide reference and research services involving clinical, business, and government document databases literature and all other appropriate resources to support the needs of internal partners.
• Lead the collaboration between Sandoz and PhactMI, as well collaborate with the 30+ company members of the organization.
• Lead the development of the MI Website for Sandoz portfolio.
• Explore and potentially implement Medical Communications role within MI to strengthen publication strategy and planning. Develop and ensure timely execution of the publication plans for assigned products. Ensure cross-functional alignment of scientific messaging and strategies to address any gaps.
• Execute successful collaboration with the Canadian MI Team in supporting MI deliverables.
• Serve as a medical expert on assigned product and disease state.

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:
• PharmD, healthcare-related PhD, or MD is required with significant industry or related medical information experience preferred. Post-graduate specialty training is desirable.
• Successful professional with 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience in drug information setting (including fellowship).
• Customer-oriented approach and ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, and laboratory diagnostic tests.
• Knowledge of drug information processes and adverse event reporting regulations a must.
• Computer literacy is required.
