Job Description

Responsible for supporting business development and M&A projects. Assume responsibility for supporting Senior TP and M&A manager and Head of Tax China advising and managing local tax implication for business development and licensing, local deals, structuring and restructuring projects.

The role includes the management of third-party external professionals (global and local providers) and close collaborations with shared services centres.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Modelling local tax implication for business development and M&A deals, support to provide advice and ensure deal outcomes are compliant with all local tax laws, regulations and global policies
• Review tax due diligence reports performed by professional firms
• Contribute ideas in solving the tax challenges in business development and licensing, local deals, structuring and restructuring projects,continuous business partnering with business team in alliance management stage
• Prepare materials for regular communication with management and HQ,ensure timely and correct filing with tax authorities for M&A matters
• Support to Identify risk points/tax saving opportunities in the deals for further assessment and im-plementation
• Preparing documents, analysis and explanation letter for the inquiries related to deals from tax au-thorities, including self-assessment, audits or other negotiations
• Assist in clearing any deal related tax issues in annual audit process with external auditors,capture and share best practices across China finance function and HQ Group Tax
• Deliver M&A tax trainings to both tax team and more extensive finance and business team
