You will be the Novartis secondee to the Value Balancing Alliance and drive related activities and projects.

As our Senior Manager Public Affairs VBA, you will coordinate the VBA (Value Balancing Alliance) advocacy efforts for embedding the proposed VBA standards in policies and regulations by the G20, G7, EU institutions as well as national governments and political parties. You will lead the VBA advocacy efforts for inclusion by the various reporting standard setters, e.g. the Value Reporting Framework and the IFRS Sustainability Standards Board. In addition, you will coordinate and engage with strategic partners of VBA.

This vacancy is limited to 2 years.

Your responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Establish strong links to the departments of the G20, G7, EU institutions and national governments and political parties working on disclosures and reporting policies
• Enhance the existing integration into various the reporting standard setters frameworks
• Effectively liaise with other VBA workstreams
• Support and accompany the CEO in advocacy efforts
• Identify and engage with strategic partners of VBA in the areas of advocacy and methodology development with the VBA experts

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University or higher degree in Science, Economics, Business, Politics, Political Economy
• Fluency in English and German, additional languages an advantage
• Strong conceptual skills and communication skills
• Strong experience in collaborating with a broad range of partners
• High networking capabilities and effective influencing
