You will play an instrumental role in helping us expand access to our products by working on various innovative business models, helping us reduce the barriers and thus ensure smooth access of essential and innovative medicines for the underserved and marginalized populations across the world.

Lead co-creation and integration of Access Principles by partnering with teams across the Novartis enterprise to improve access and the standard of healthcare for underserved populations. Drive enterprise-wide engagement to create awareness around COE portfolio & resources, serve as a strategic and technical partner to local IAPM & Novartis teams around key focus areas within Access Principles (health system strengthening, R&D, affordability) and catalyse learnings and engagement across teams to accelerate action and drive patient reach.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with divisions to identify and prioritize key focus areas for technical support that cut across priorities of different divisions of Novartis, developing a deep understanding of local needs and aggregating existing expertise to establish highly relevant technical assistance hubs. (Initial focus will be on targeted HSS areas – e,g. addressing health system barriers through digital solutions, increasing access to diagnostics/genetic testing, developing innovative health service delivery models, etc.)
• Design & deliver advisory services to country organizations and regional teams in prioritized focus areas as requested, serving as a strategic counselor through scoping/business case development through implementation as needed. (Note: global geographic scope). Proactively seek solutions and identify internal resources to problem solve in partnership with local teams where needed.
• Drive engagement and communication across country organizations and other relevant teams to catalyze learning from each other, create communities of practice and drive effi-ciencies in the rollout of high-impact interventions.
• Proactively identify potential solutions, external partners, internal expertise and processes that could support teams in addressing access barriers and challenges identified in key fo-cus areas, particularly those where common barriers are being identified.
• Design and rollout user-friendly resources to support learning and capability building in pri-oritized focus areas. Deliver compelling content at existing forums to drive capability building and awareness of COE offerings.
• In partnership with the COE team, manage awareness & education about access principles, COE offerings and effectively collaborate to manage COE resource center, learning events and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Advanced Degree in business, economics, public health, engineering, medicine or relevant experience in Global Health innovation and/or global health entrepreneurship
• 7+ years working in the pharmaceutical industry or global health
• Experience working in or closely with a country organization/the field, in either developed or developing country setting
• Preference for experience implementing access or policy programs locally (e.g. innovative access models, health system strengthening programs, policy/advocacy initiatives, patient support program, etc.)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to form trusted relationships easily and bring diverse experiences and backgrounds together effectively
• Flexible and learning mind-set, able to work in multiple technical and therapeutic areas in parallel
• Experience in platform management and/or developing and implementing innovative learning networks a plus
