Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly talented, dedicated and collaborative associate like you to join our world class Research and Development organization as a senior Lab Specialist II.

The main focus will be daily operation and organization of a large Research Group. You are responsible for overseeing necessary lab purchases; ordering lab equipment and supplies, provide support for activities related to maintaining compliance. The Senior Lab specialist would need to work in close collaboration with the Scientist and Research Associates to ensure all operational needs for the labs are fully supported.

Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Management of laboratory inventory and ordering of general laboratory supplies.
Works closely across the R&D teams to ensure operational success
Facilitate interactions with equipment vendors for service calls and routine maintenance.
Manage regulated lab waste streams with the Facilities group.
Implement new processes that increase the operational efficiency of the facility and lab operations.
Onboarding/off boarding process
Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
May necessitate working flexible hours outside our normal schedule, including weekends and after hours. This position is on call 24/7.
Experience in managing supplier relationships and experience with customer service management in a lab setting.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

BA, Bs or Ms in Chemistry or Biology with minimum of 2 year prior experience managing Laboratory Operations in a biomedical research setting with a broad understanding of life sciences research equipment
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, creative problem-solving capabilities, and willingness to work in a team environment are important.
Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment to solve problems is required, as well as to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Excellent digital literacy including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and
Outlook and MS Teams is required.
May necessitate working flexible hours outside our normal schedule, including weekends and after hours. This position is on call 24/7.
Six Sigma certificate preferred.
Experience in managing supplier relationships and experience with customer service management in a lab setting.
