Strategic Planning and Business Operations Director, Novartis, Prague, Czech Republic

2500+ professionals working across IT functions globally supporting 130K end users. And in this role you will be contributing to delivering a process that ensures the effective and efficient operation of an IT function, including business demand prioritization, project resourcing, service performance measurement, function specific training, communication or change management activities. Support IT function head or leadership team members with day-to-day team management activities

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support the development of strategic plans for the Function and the visibility of mid-term portfolio plans for the supported business areas
• Ensure alignment to business strategy, TT strategy and Technology strategy by effectively partnering with Office of the CTTO, Strategy and M&A and TSA
• Contribute to the development and evolution of the TT Operating Model and drive its deployment in the Function. Proactively identify TT operating model improvement areas.
• Act as one integrated team with other Strategic Planning and Business Operations teams across the TT functions to ensure standardized and best-in-class solutions are being implemented
• Manage the execution of key operational processes for the Function such as: financial reporting and budgeting planning, hiring and location strategy, people development and upskilling, training, and communications, etc. to ensure smooth running of the business and achievement of operational targets
• Monitor the Function's overall performance (services, quality, and financials) and proactively identify opportunities to increase service levels and mitigate any functional level risks or issues.
• Support the Function’s managers and associates to focus on the overall priorities for CTS TT and the Function to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Support the adoption of the new Ways of Working (Choice with Responsibility, Hybrid workplace, Productization, Agile) implemented on a local or global level

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred and proficient English
• Demonstrable experience in organization design and implementation, in addition to, learning and development management
• 3+ years of experience in strategic planning
• Business process improvement experience
• Good understanding of pharma business and portfolio management
