As a BPA Finance Analyst for Business development and licensing for Novartis Technical Operations (NTO) (m/f/d) you will be providing support and financial analyses to the Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) team on the implementation of manufacturing and supply collaborations resulting from BD&L and/or Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) deals with 3rd parties and affiliates of Novartis. You will act as a business partner for NTO BD&L teams and manage financial relationships on specific on-going alliances with 3rd parties to ensure good collaboration and timeliness in financial reporting to and by NTO.

Your key responsibilities:
• Reviewing existing supply and license agreements and other relevant documentation, and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders (Head of finance BD&L NTO, external relationship managers etc.) on financials for all types of deals, ensuring cost, risk and benefits evaluation from NTO perspective.
• Calculating Supply Prices for on-going divestments.
• Supporting internal customers with business cases and financial modeling reflecting different demand / production / cost / inventory development scenarios.
• Ensuring that estimates of Product costs (internal), Costs of Goods sold, Asset value and other NTO financials are provided to cross-functional customers.
• Acting as Finance representative in the Alliance Governance for the manufacturing alliances with e.g. GSK. Developing productive relationships with the alliance partner to optimize financial management of the alliance, ensuring alignment with other Novartis stakeholders in and outside NTO and higher management.
• Maintaining quality reporting on costs, costs and royalty projections, and actual cost vs supply price reconciliations, as well as consolidation of information from NTO sites and Functions as required under the terms of the collaboration agreements.
• Continuously developing and updating financial rules for manufacturing and supply collaborations in collaboration with other financial departments.

Minimum Requirements

What you will bring to the role:
• University degree in Economics. Legal background is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Financial and Project Management roles.
• Good knowledge of Accounting, expertise in financial modeling.
• Ability to navigate complexity across functions in a global environment.
• Experience with presentations to higher management.
• Good communication skills and experience in managing diverse stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements:
• Experience in deal valuation and negotiations.
