Global Procurement Strategy & Change Lead (Capability Centers), Novartis, Prague, Czech Republic

$750 -$1500m is the amount of the saving tracked according to the Novartis guidelines you will ensure as Procurement Strategy & Change Lead (Capability Centers).

In this position you will be directly responsible to establish, coordinate, execute and follow through the projects transformation pipeline for all Procurement Capability Centers globally with the objective to improve operational excellence, key metrics and process standardization. This role will shape a procurement operations model that allows optimal support for the company stakeholders, working effectively in a matrix across all procurement areas and other relevant domains.
Further, in this role you will focus on providing the procurement operational teams in capability centers a clear, strategic transformation plan, always keeping the quality and scalability in mind, and build trusting relationships across teams and peer group.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Defines full end to end a transformation strategy across Procurement Capability Centers on behalf of the Global Procurement Head Capability Centers & Strategic, Procurement Operations
• Develops and implements a governance structure across all Capability Centers
• Defines transformation success criteria and follows through to completion
• Globally accountable for timely implementation & execution of the transformation strategy, in partnership with all capability centers teams and global transformation team.
• Ensures smooth service transitions and continued service delivery
• Coordinates where applicable the global network of project managers & transformation leads in the capability centers
• Monitors and follow up the KPI dashboard, benchmarks to internal and external sources and continuously identifies areas of improvement.
• Proactively collaborates within Procurement and with associated functions & domains (e.g. Finance, Legal, FRA) to ensure successful implementation of the transformation plan through structured change management.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University degree and proficiency in English language (Written and spoken)
• > 10 years of experience leading large Procurement Operation set ups with proven results
• Extensive experience in operational excellence, business analysis, process improvement and / or change management.
• Demonstrated program and project management skills with proven results; demonstrated analytical, process-oriented and data driven mind-set.
• Ability to lead, manage, team with and work with stakeholders of widely varying backgrounds across a globally distributes and matrixed organization.

Desirable requirements:
• Master’s Degree/other advanced degree in in Business, Finance, or Scientific field
• Experience of regulated environments, particularly the impact in the Pharmaceutical industry
