We have an opening for a Clinical Lab Associate that will be providing support to clinical testing activities. This is an entry level role for someone looking to get their career started in lab. You will be involved with the initial intake and registration of patient specimens, handling and pre-analytical processing of patient specimens, data entry and quality check of patient information and pre-analytical data entered into the laboratory information system. You will also support slide preparation and sample management/storage.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work in a GMP/GCP/GLP/CLIA regulated environment and responsible for following all applicable regulations
• Work in a regulated laboratory following work instructions and SOPs for labeling, handling, processing, transporting, archiving, and storing specimens.
• Perform day-to-day pre-analytical processing of specimens in support of downstream clinical testing activities.
• Perform quality control review of data in laboratory information system (LIS) and on specimen processing forms.
• Follow established laboratory procedures for the use of mechanical or electronic instruments used for the processing of specimens, including appropriate instrument maintenance.
• May be required to prepare, label, use, and store reagents in accordance with procedures.
• Identify problems related to specimen processing and immediately notify line management.
• Perform accurate data entry of patient, test, and specimen information into the LIS.
• Document quality control activities, instrument maintenance, and other required laboratory functions, including document scanning documentation in accordance with procedures.
• Follow established sample tracking and storage procedures for all incoming and outgoing specimens.
