Job Description

With 40+ innovative R&D projects that could transform care for more than 300M patients worldwide, the IHD New Products Team is working to reimagine the medicines of the future. We work closely with our Research, Development and Commercial colleagues to maximize the impact of our portfolio on patients and healthcare systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Working closely with key partners (countries / regions, pricing & access, NIBR, GDD) to lead commercial evaluations of portfolio and BD&L programs, particularly at pipeline decision points
• Articulating clear market-driven disease area strategies, and create / refine target product profiles (TPPs) with clearly differentiated competitive advantage and value propositions
• Using in-depth disease area, market and customer / patient knowledge to guide development programs and life cycle plans to optimize commercial potential
• Partnering with NIBR to support project milestone transitions and shape the strategic fit of drug research activities
• Leading commercial support for external opportunity assessments. This requires liaising with BD&L to identify, screen and assess potential in-licensing opportunities, and provide time sensitive disease area expertise and commercial input
• Developing, implementing and leading market research plans for programs for which you are responsible and ensure that key insights and customer / patient perspectives are incorporated into GPT clinical development and market access strategies
• Developing and directing revenue forecasting activities for pipeline & BD&L opportunities.
• Formulating commercial budget and resource requirements for programs
• Key areas of focus: Immunology

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelors degree in science related discipline. PhD/MD/MBA highly preferred, relevant business consulting experience a plus
• Minimum 5–7 years professional experience in Pharma industry, US experience is a big plus.
• Commercial & customer focused mindset, for example including experience in BD&L / M&A assessment / early product commercialization / pricing & market access
• Highly agile having the capacity to lead and direct a therapeutic area strategy or product strategy and manage multiple priorities simultaneously (e.g., internal development programs and acquisitions)
• Able to take a step back from the ambiguity / detail of the day to day to make strategic trade offs / choices and effectively frame recommendations for senior leadership
• Senior leadership negotiation / presentation and meeting leadership skills
• Proven ability to think cross functionally and manage efficiently in a matrix, able to develop a common vision and align line functions – across commercial and development – without direct authority
Desirable Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of key immunology markets
• Experience in multiple geographies and or sales experience
• Strong external networks in appropriate disease area
