Job Purpose:
The Returns Specialist will be a part of the AR Collections/Deductions Team in US O2C and will be responsible for account analysis, resolution and reconciliations related to return deductions, invoices, credits and payments.

Major Accountabilities:
• Manage complex return claims and deduction resolution process through collaboration with Customers, Reverse Logistics, and other business areas for timely resolution
• Analyze customer claim/deduction details and make determination of claim/deduction validity in alignment with business
• Generate and review the Claims and Deductions Aging Report as needed and ensure all assigned return claims and deductions are closed within predefined timeframes.
• Process and request timely paybacks requests from assigned portfolio of accounts on invalid/denied claims
• Process and request timely refunds to direct and indirect customers as needed, following departmental approval guidelines
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities related to Claims and Deduction Management.
• Supports the critical month-end financial close process and provides timely responses to all Revenue, and GL Department inquiries.
• Utilizes advanced skills in Excel to accumulate, organize and then report on deduction, credit and payment data within defined monthly and quarterly periods.
• Manages all matters related to deduction management and account/return reconciliations, including payment day activities and offsets.
• Coordinates meetings with impact related internal Departments to ensure major AR issues are reviewed and addressed.

• Respond timely to 3rd party return processor requests for confirmation of return processing
• Support FRA Operations in designing reports to monitor financial results and compliance (DSO, DDO, % past due, KPIs, compliance cockpits)
• Ensure relevant NFCM controls are met.

Minimum Requirements

Education:
Bachelor/Associates degree in accounting, finance, other relevant field or equivalent experience

Experience:
• Knowledge of Reverse Logistics in Accounts Receivable (exposure and expertise in cash application, collections, deduction resolution, and debit/credit postings).
• Experience within the Pharma industry a plus
• Customer Service experience a plus
• Excellent research, problem solving, and time management skills. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Attention to detail
• SAP experience preferred.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency based on business demands
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
