You will play an instrumental role in helping us expand access to our products by working on various innovative business models, helping us reduce the barriers and thus ensure smooth access of essential and innovative medicines for the underserved and marginalized populations across the world.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create a sustainable business model that drives increased patient access in the region. Develop a mid and long term strategic business plan, local marketing and sales strategies and execute their fulfilment, leveraging effectively product portfolio management and global resources across all divisions of Novartis. Define & fine tune “go-to-market” model per country, establishing solid partnership model (distributors, NGOs, etc);
• Provide direction to local Partner, overseeing the building of a best-in-class team that fully leverages market opportunities and internal systems, programs and tools to grow patient reach. Translate strategy into short-term action; designing and proposing accordingly the relevant organization model. Monitor market dynamics and make strategic decisions to address local challenges. Influence and provide input into the GH global strategy. Plan patient reach growth through appropriate strategies, operational management and by increasing the spread of the business while maintaining a gross margin for the business in line with the objectives

Business Results
• Manage the P&L including the delivery of top line, bottom line results and social marketing KPIs. Ensure annual expense budget is met and maintained within budget parameters.

Internal and external relationship management
• Proactively shape the Country market environment, defend and improve Novartis market position and depth of patient access by developing strong, trust-based relationships with customers and stakeholders (especially regulators, Pharma and Healthcare associations, patient groups, customers, media, key accounts, and KOLs) Manage business partner relationships including bringing in additional business partners and health alliances from private and public sector. Set objectives and manage partner performance based on contract plans and assessment of individual performance vs. objectives. Develop matrix management relationships across Sandoz and Novartis
• Working with the various business units of Novartis as well as external third parties to broaden the product portfolio in healthcare and medicines. Ensure that effective working relationships are in place across the multi-disciplinary team within the function and cross function at a local and national level to obtain input to plans/ programmes and ownership to implement plans as required. Secure forecasts accuracy and effective linkage with supply chain organization

Novartis Ways of Working
• Act as head and public face of the local Novartis organization, ensuring legal and ethical conduct, corporate compliance, and adherence to company guidelines and procedures. Formalize initial processes for setting up, building and nurturing the organization. Manage cross business complexities with focus on internal and external challenges
• Working with the various business units of Novartis as well as external third parties to broaden the product portfolio in healthcare and medicines. Perform regular audits of the distributor’s activities, developing appropriate monitor and control mechanisms including rewards and incentives. Ensure all the Novartis Code of Conduct and Compliance policies and processes are adhered to. Ensure that appropriate training and development programmes are developed and implemented to ensure that the skills and capabilities of the sales teams remain competitive. Develop a team with spirit of superlative performance and ethics.
