We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled scientist to join the Immuno-Modulation (iMOD) group within Novartis Exploratory Immuno-Oncology. In this role you will become a key contributor in a dynamic, discovery team interrogating innovative cancer therapeutics to transform patient’s lives. This position is an outstanding opportunity for those wishing to combine their interest in immunobiology of cancer with their strong desire to develop novel therapies.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Support drug discovery programs from discovery through development candidate selection to preclinical data package preparation in collaboration with global multidisciplinary project teams.
•Interrogate target biology through design and execution of relevant functional immunological and cell biological assays.
•Validate novel drug concepts through execution of in vivo studies.
•Analyze, interpret, and document data for internal reports and regulatory filings.
•Communicate and present data within a multidisciplinary team environment.
•Drive and implement scientific and technical innovation.
•Mentor junior research team members in study design, execution, and data analysis.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

•PhD or BS/MS with 8+ years of relevant industry experience in ImmunoOncology or related field.
•Strong understanding of immunology and immunotherapy.
•Expertise and hands-on experience with a wide variety of immune, cellular, and molecular biological methods including multi-color flow cytometry, cytokine profiling (ELISA/MSD/Luminex), and gene expression analysis (qPCR, RNAseq).
•Proficiency with in vivo and ex-vivo procedures in rodents, including tissue collection.
•Excellent judgment in selecting experimental methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
•Scientifically self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment and to adapt to changing directions/priorities.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•This opportunity is located at the Novartis Cambridge site, and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Relocation Assistance may be available.
