24 is the number of launches in 2021.The Strategic Launch Manager develops and executes the commercial readiness plans for new product launches and ensures excellence in execution of these projects to enable commercial functions the best opportunity to achieve the sales and profitability objectives for Sandoz Australia and New Zealand. Imagine leading the pre-launch strategy and operations for product launches and ensuring excellence in execution, driving business and profitability for the whole of Sandoz Australia and New Zealand. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

1) Accountable for delivering detailed launch plans and strategy across the business to enable commercial teams to achieve net sales targets for New Launch products.
2) Monitors Business risks and opportunities vs targets and steers local teams to mitigate or maximize them as required
3) Analyzes and designs product specific strategies and roadmaps leading to the shortest time to market and highest profit for the company’s launch projects.
4) Identifies, validates and drives strategic initiatives of high risk and high revenue opportunities with Intellectual Property (patent) challenges.
5) Coordinates and project manages cross functional teams and resources, including Regulatory, Supply Chain, QA, Legal, IP, Packaging, Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Portfolio to execute launch projects in accordance to the designed strategies and financial targets
6) Analyzes operations systems, structures and throughput in launch management and provides improvement recommendations or alterations that result in increased resource capacity, project yield and/or customer satisfaction
7) Evaluates current systems, job functions and processes with other business areas, identifies barriers and mediates in miss-alignments or recommends corrective actions, driving escalations to SGI Director or General Manager as required
8) Acts a consultancy hub and point person for all things launch related across regions Americas, Middle East and Asia-Pacific supporting the reviews of global procedures, providing insights on impact, risks and possible improvements from a country affiliate perspective.
9) Trains launch managers in other Sandoz country affiliates in organizational procedures, business strategies, resource management and system improvement initiatives across launch strategy
10) Drives the alignment between local and global launch objectives and creates synergies between the country affiliate and the regional launch team
11) Acts as the single point of contact with global stakeholders to manage joint initiatives on process improvements and key global launches

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business. Project management and supply chain certifications will be advantageous.
• Min. 10 years of experience in/or consulting to a generic pharmaceutical business within the launch or supply chain function.
Strong understanding of legal environment regarding pharmaceutical patents.
Demonstrated experience successfully launching multiple new products with significant positive commercial impact.
• International experience, specifically, in European markets will be advantageous
• Experience in Launch Management, Launch Coordination or Project Management will be highly preferable
• Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and reporting best practices will be essential
• Proven ability optimising launch processes, procedures utilising change management principles required
