The Chemical Biology and Therapeutics department merges ground breaking technical capabilities with deep scientific expertise to deliver bold innovations to enable therapeutic breakthroughs for patients. We seek a highly motivated lab head to join our multidisciplinary Genomics group to lead single cell and spatial transcriptomic efforts in collaboration with our diverse disease area partners. Our Genomics group drives technical innovation through the deployment of state of the art genomic technologies to enable rapid discovery of new biology, novel drug targets, and disease biomarkers. This hands-on role, will involve leading bench scientists within the group, working closely with the site lead, data scientist and collaborators to craft and execute high-resolution transcriptomic projects.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Design, lead and execute suite of single cell and spatial transcriptomic RNAseq technologies in collaboration with project teams

- Genomics group expert in complex tissue handling (e.g. preservation, dissociation, sectioning)

- Proactively identify new single cell and spatial transcriptomics solutions and applications, developing strategies for their implementation based upon emerging needs

- Work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams of genomics scientists, cellular biologists and computational biologists to further drug discovery efforts

- Work productively in a fast-paced environment that requires a high level of communication, collaboration, and organization

- QC and interpret transcriptomic data, troubleshoot and communicate effectively with other members of a project team

- Mentor and develop team members in the use of techniques/specific methods
