Job Description

Cell & Gene, Biologics, Oncology, Small Molecule and Sandoz business units produce our lifesaving medicines for over 800 million patients.
Would you like to support our 54 manufacturing sites worldwide, delivering smart manufacturing with a world class MES operations team? Delivering the operational management of MES (primarily Werum Pas-X and Rockwell PMX) systems globally, this is a critical role in ensuring the level of Manufacturing Operations support provided to the business remains optimal, and that the business remains aligned and up to date regarding planned downtime and patch rollouts (periodic hotfix and patch installation) and any unplanned issues which may occur.
This role directly oversees 20 external resources (AM and L2 roles). The SOE is a key role in the success of MES and will be responsible for ensuring the critical system is operated and maintained to regulatory standards. Periodic connects with global business, TT, Quality and vendors for request for changes (CAB) will be required. Maintenance of server parameters for multiple global systems, ensuring consistency of parameterisation and sizing of systems.
Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of a dedicated set of systems, tools or applications and ensure their stability, integrity and business continuity.
• Ensure services are delivered to the agreed SLA, including reviewing supplier performance based on the agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Identify, investigate & resolve incidents; report on incidents and review findings with key stakeholders; coordinate crisis management with relevant stakeholders, where required.
• Oversee problem management and drive identification of root causes and prevention of recurrences.
• Ensure that an up-to -date asset inventory is maintained & only authorized components are used; coordinate configuration management database changes and /or ensure that configuration items are identified, accounted, reported, verified & audited.
• Ensure proper user & access management.
• Ensure adherence to documented operational procedures and quality standards, and that appropriate operational service documentation is created & accepted by stakeholders.
• Support Service / Solution Operations Manager in technical topics

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Education & Languages
Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Technical Domains Fluent in both written and spoken English.

• At least 8 years’ experience in support MES systems, preferably within the life sciences sector
• Broad exposure to MES systems and good understanding of associated up & down stream systems
• Experience in overseeing operational support of manufacturing operations systems
• Familiarity with project delivery and handover to operations is beneficial
• Demonstrated leadership in delivering non-stop business operations and working with outsourced vendor partners
• Deep understanding of business manufacturing processes and change management process
• Capable of coordinating the activities of multiple resources and effectively managing key stakeholder alignment (Business, projects, quality, vendor finance)
