500! Million US dollars, is the approximate external spend of Novartis to create content annually.

Novartis has embraced a bold strategy to drive a company-wide digital transformation with the aim of reducing spending across the business. This includes the development and implementation of a Digital Asset Management process, which will include the validation and approval of the assets. This project is part of the Enterprise Operations Simplification, eOS, initiative and aims to improve our go-to-market content materials release focusing on simplification, time to market and cost effectiveness.

The Global Associate Director MLR will be in charge to ensure that the processes and workflows designed are fully implemented into the new platform. It includes focus on process simplification while ensuring the full respect of local or global mandatory requirements as well as developing new functionalities in line with customer needs. The future of digital governance will put the customer at its core and enable the digital transformation across the organization while assuring adherence to regulatory, safety and other compliance requirements (internal and external) and proactively managing the risk exposure of Novartis.

Key responsibilities:

• Support related work streams to meet all MLR requirements during platform programming
• Drive change management with and communication to the local stakeholders
• Continuously improve end-to-end process (operational excellence) through applying ‘Compliance by-design’ principles, lean management approaches and automation efforts
• Identify gaps and areas for improvement/simplification through using AI within the MLR process
• Ensure scalability of the end-to-end process for a fast growing landscape of assets
• Develop & validate MLR training content. Triage feature requests and work with MLR Director to prioritize backlog

Minimum Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

• Post graduate degree
• Fluent in English, knowledge of other European languages preferred (e.g. French, German, Spanish)
• Track record of strong business impact, proven change management and influencing skills at senior levels and across cultures
• Deep knowledge of compliance / regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry (including legal regulations, industry codes and practical aspects), preferably on both global & country level
• 4+ years of practical experience in areas of digital / IT, compliance and project management as well as strong knowledge of the Pharma Industry. Strong Novartis internal network, preferably on a global and local level
• Substantial project and program management experience in cross-functional/ divisional projects
