Your passion to work with other functions, payers, reimbursement and listings decision makers and influencers and patient representatives to shape the market access environment and customer expectations will help the world understand what these medicines do, why they matter and how Novartis is striving to reimagine medicine.

As Head of Patient Access, you will have an opportunity to lead the country Patient Access strategies, tactics and frameworks in line with country, regional and global imperatives to form relationships, make agreements and execute contracts that jointly create value for customers, patients and Novartis.

Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Understand and connect current market trends nationally and locally in terms of legislation, Healthcare organization, funding systems, decision makers and decision-making processes and the relationship between political and operational system.
• Drive decisions related to patient access strategy at a local level.
• Utilize insights from cross functional teams and market research to launch, develop and implement high quality Patient Access strategic and operational plans.
• Establish and maintain a strong professional network within the Federal /Regional and local Government authorities, Healthcare providers, Health Economic organizations and other relevant decision-making representatives to anticipate and influence legislative P and R trends.
• Communicate relevant changes and trends in local health policy environment and Patient Access activities of new competitors to the cross functional team.
• Create and work with the Region/Franchise to agree Business Cases.
• Good negotiation skills and ability to conduct (and understand from commercial point of view) tender/deal with the region.
• Lead, develop and coach Patient Access manager to enhance capability, drive operational excellence and ensure the timely submission of patient access dossiers to regulatory authorities.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Degree in related discipline.
• Able to understand changing dynamics of Pharmaceutical industry
• Proficient and fluent in English (spoken and written), with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Digital & Technology Savvy
