Job Purpose:

• Head of Strategic Planning & Business Operations professionals in TIS (Technology and Global Infrastructure Services ) provides business insights and analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of strategic goals and execution, and help teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward.
• Deliver excellence in TIS business operations by partnering with delivery teams, vendor partners, procurement, finance and talent management to ensure all TIS functions are effectively supported with timely and efficient management.
• Lead change management and culture initiatives in alignment with Novartis values and behaviors

Your responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Drive the development and execution of strategic plans and visibility of mid-term portfolio plans for TIS technology and Regional delivery functions. Collaborate with teams across TT and CTS to enable the Corporate and TT strategy
• Analyze industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance. Identify opportunities to encourage deeper collaboration across teams, and plug into key company priorities
• Manage strategic technology initiatives in the areas of Infrastructure, Cloud, Digital Workspace, Collaboration and Connectivity for the Technology & Infrastructure organization (TIS )
• Deliver data-driven insights to support actionable strategic recommendations, business prioritization, and strategy communications across various levels including endusers, TT, CTS and ECN level
• Identify and substantiate improvement opportunities and partner with TIS and PPD functions to build-out technology platforms and solutions from concept to production.
• Work collaboratively across a global matrix organization to help build alignment and ensure prepare for successful execution
• Nurture and develop strong strategic initiatives and relationships across SBP, PPD, NIBR and CTS functions to deliver enterprise level impact
• Contribute to the definition of the CTS and TT strategy for the Function’s relevant scope and be accountable for ensuring the strategy is deployed successfully and that feedback is provided to adjust strategy wherever needed
• Manage TIS business operations by partnering and collaborating with support functions and by establishing effective processes and controls. Effectively support the Global Head of TIS in day-to-day management of the global function.
• Manage the execution of key operational processes such as: financial reporting and budgeting planning, talent deployment strategy, people development, training, and communications, etc. to ensure achievement of operational goals
• Establish appropriate tools, forums, and processes to engage innovation champions and technology experts to create platforms for enhancing collaboration
• Partner with Service Management, Portfolio Management and Regional Operations teams to monitor and enhance the overall performance of TIS
• Support the Function’s managers and associates to align with overall priorities for CTS TT to maximize customer delight and to deliver a productive user experience
• Drive the culture and people related topics to ensure the progress towards integrity, unbossed, curious, inspired and agile organization
• Coordinate the talent sessions and people development strategy to ensure timely hiring and associates' development
• Drive the adoption of the new Ways of Working (Choice with Responsibility, Hybrid workplace, Productization, Agile) implemented on a local or global level
• Liaise with external research and advisory companies and other Innovation Ecosystem participants to get familiar with the evolution of markets trends and bring innovative processes into the Function

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• A great fit would be someone who is a balanced mix of Strategic and Business Management capabilities with a solid background in tech or digital or user experience areas
• Experience working on a global scale
• Stakeholder management experience
