As a strategist, communicator, executor and trusted advisor, the Strategic Assistant works under the leadership of and in close collaboration with the Global Head of Novartis Business Assurance and Advisory and Internal Audit (GH NBAA & IA) who is a standing guest at the Executive Committee of Novartis (ECN) and a member of the Senior Management of Novartis. The Strategic Assistant will also report into the Global Head of NBAA QDOS (Quality, Data Analytics, Operations and Strategy).

You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of strategic objectives by working on various initiatives of NBAA (entailing Internal Audit, Global Security and QDOS) proactively identifying and resolving up-coming issues and improving processes to deliver on its mission and goals in a way we can all be proud of.

You will display a passion for integrity; you will be able to question and improve the status quo whilst influencing without authority. You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity; managing change whilst in parallel driving results forward. You will possess effective communication / presentation skills, elite organizational excellence and be an exceptional listener.

Strong collaboration, networking and relationship management skills coupled with strong analytical skills will be key. The Strategic Assistant will also team-lead the NBAA Assistant Pool.

Major Activities & Contributions-

• Leadership, strategy & cultural transformation
• Facilitate achievement of NBAA objectives / lead strategic projects
• Prepare presentations/communication to enhance impact/branding
• Lead NBAA Office administration

Minimum Requirements

• University degree in relevant area/MBA preferred or equivalent
• Excellent English fluency skills; other languages highly desirable especially German and/or French
• 2-3 years of top tier consulting/advisory and/or Internal Audit experience (required)
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate within and across cross-functional teams and business units, in a matrixed environment (required)
• Leadership in pharmaceutical, device or healthcare industries with relevant exposure to Internal Audit/risk/compliance functions (preferred)
• Experience in a highly regulated industry with its dynamics, regulatory framework (preferred)
• Knowledge of strategy, business trends and risks and project management
