The incumbent will contribute to establish a strong base and maximize the value of GI cancer portfolio of Novartis with a focus on the successful launch of our new product.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Take a leading role of commercial launch readiness of key solid tumor products, working cross functionally with all relevant stakeholders.
• Identify country-specific insights using market research, competitive intelligence, customer interactions, understanding the disease areas and unmet needs and identify trends, opportunities and threats for the product group and proposes corresponding strategies and tactics.
• Contribute to the writing/input of global brand plan, product positioning, pricing strategy and marketing plans.
• Elaboration of local IDAPS, strategic plan, budget and demand forecast in collaboration with respective functions
• Identify opportunities for life cycle management, e.g. indications, formulations, packaging.
• Contribute to stakeholder mapping and ensures inclusion of educational tools in product plans.
• Contribute to Market Access strategic and operational plans and closely collaborate with medical affairs
• Collaborate with Marketing Solutions group to elaborate and optimize channel/promotional mix for individual brand through appropriate resource allocation that meets brand objectives and customer needs.
• Support the Marketing Solutions group for customer initiatives (e.g. promotional tools, public relations and product related communications).
• Manage brand finance and budgets, including appropriate management of brand resources.
• Act as brand champion to create focus and enthusiasm both internally and with external customers and agencies.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• A University level (bachelors) degree; Marketing, Business Administration, Clinical Research, or related field.
• Japanese: Fluent (mother tongue) / English: Business level preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization both in Japanese and English.
• 5-7 years of experience in field sales, related marketing services, brand management and/or medical activities.
• Communication skills with external stakeholders (e.g. Key Drs)
• Planning & creating promotional materials
• Business planning, analysis, management reporting skills
• Internal cross functional communication and leadership

Desirable requirements:
• New product launch experience in pharma
• GI-Cancer experience (Non-essential)
