2! number of locations where we are building up our Global PMO Services organization. As a hierarchical service, PMO as a Service allows for the extension of the PMO services to offer more controlling and directive Project Management structures in line with program/portfolio complexity.

Primary responsibility is to support and drive strategic business projects for Novartis Group, the CEO and the Executive Committee, with the aim of maximizing economic value and securing future competitive advantage. Plan, develop, and lead projects, based around key Novartis products in major markets. Deliver substantially greater outcome improvement than from the product alone. Deliver substantially greater financial rewards for Novartis based on this. To design and deliver an organization-wide capability building program to build a cadre of leaders within Novartis Divisions who can lead such projects and further build capabilities in colleagues. Process responsible for hiring and managing external capability building consultants.

The role is responsible for program management & coordination within the Strategy department e.g. supporting work streams, providing project execution support and planning support. The role supports programs and large scale transformations by providing guidance, monitoring compliance with project milestones, risks and issues and reporting on program/project status at all levels of the program.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in the development of plans for a project, including the schedule, the budget, outlining the duties of each team members, identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project.
• Assist the leads and the team in advanced operational tasks, such as project coordination, organization of key multi-stakeholder meetings, etc.
• Closely monitor each project to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan.
• Assist the PMO Lead/Manager, Change Lead in activities and initiatives to improve capability, including developing training material, communications and the analysis of information
• Regularly update program risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) logs
• Owning complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) IT Projects in the capacity of a PM/PMO

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• 5+ years experience in handling projects in the capacity of PM/PMO
• Experience in handling projects in the areas of SAP / S4 Hana
• Consistent track record of communicating with different customer groups, including stakeholder management on the wide geographic scope
• Proven track record of running resources, organizing and planning
• Proven strong written and verbal communication skills as well as solid presentation skills and proficient English (knowledge of a second major European language is an advantage
• Proven analytical, process-oriented and data driven attitude

Desirable requirements:
• Bachelor's in either a Science, Engineering, or IT with and MBA (or equivalent)
• PMP/PRINCE 2 certification is desirable
