Our Information Manager will be responsible for enabling the people of Novartis to make the efficient use of the external information licensed by the Novartis Knowledge Center. You will also support the divisions leadership team by building and developing core relationships with key business groups to help us deliver optimal services.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support our expert search, analysis and media monitoring services and work with technology teams to optimise the delivery of the most relevant external information to users in a variety of tools that best meet our user’s needs.
• Partner with cross divisional teams to provide consultancy on information management solutions
• Managing and developing our content, expert search, and analysis infrastructure.
• Working with internal technical teams to design and build custom information solutions.
• Managing customer advisory boards and developing relationships with core teams and stakeholders to better understand how our services are being used
• Working with vendors to optimize the use of their tools and data.
• Be aware of external information environment to make sure we are using the best tools and content available.
• Working with other service groups to identify commonalities and help provide end to end services.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Be a recognised expert in at least one of core information types we license: Chemistry; Biomedical Literature; Patents or Competitor Information.
• The ability to train small local teams in a classroom environment as well as larger teams using remote tools.
• Ability to gather, analyse and interpret data from internal and external information sources; present findings and relevant insights to stakeholders in a variety of formats including tools such as Spotfire, Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience at a multinational company or intercultural / global team environment.
• A knowledge of semantic search tools and experience with text analytics and text mining tools.

Desirable requirements:
• PhD or Master’s degree in Life Sciences.
• At least 5 years of relevant pharma industry or research experience with at least 2 years working in an information, knowledge management or corporate library role.
