The Associate Director will provide advice to the Global Oncology Business Functions, implement company policies and ensure ethical execution while meeting business goals.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Global Business Functions:
 Partners with the Head of Global Functions Oncology ERC in ensuring our operations and business transactions adhere to legal standards and in-house policies.
 Manages and collaborates in the development and implementation of simplification initiatives and key projects as needed.
 Collaborates as required with the ERC Risk Resilience Team for the execution of the Global Risk Assessment process
 Collaborates with the Head of Global Functions Oncology ERC in the business advising activities to the Global Oncology Business Franchises (GMA, GMVA, GVA, Global Patient Engagement) as required.
 Support the Head of Global Functions Oncology ERC in addressing strategic priorities and topics relevant to the Global ERC function.

Global Events Governance:
 Operational excellence: Partner with Global Legal and Global Medical Affairs in the review and approval process of all Novartis Global events and Consulting Agreements.

Global External Funding Committee:
 Operational excellence: Partner with Global Legal, Global Medical Affairs and Global Patient Engagement in the review and approval process of all Novartis External Funding requests (grants, sponsorships, donations).

Global Market Research Process:
 Membership: Global Consulting Team - Partner with Global Legal, Global Medical Affairs in the review and approval of Global Market Research.
 Provides guidance and training to the Global Oncology associates as required.

Global Franchise Business Advice: Partners with the Head of Global Functions Oncology ERC in the business advising activities to the Global Oncology Business Franchises (GMA, GMVA, GVA, Global Patient Engagement).
 Addressing strategic priorities and topics to the Global ERC function.
 Providing support in managing ad hoc meetings.

Ad Hoc Projects Participation collaborate with other members of the Global Compliance team and with the cross-functional teams on an as-needed basis for project-based operational activities pertaining to different elements of ethics, risk and compliance.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree is required; subject area in law, finance, business administration or related field preferred
• 7+ years of prior relevant compliance and/or business experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry
• Oncology experience preferred
• Prior experience in streamlining processes or systems to increase efficiencies
• Legal background is not required, but an interest and awareness of laws, industry codes and best practices related to global Compliance is preferred
