Navigate is seeking a talented scientist to join our flow cytometry, clinical trial testing team. The ideal candidate will execute and troubleshoot Flow cytometry-based procedures and assays. The ideal candidate will generate data that will be utilized in key decision making regarding clinical trials from phase I to phase III. You will be expected to exhibit moderate to high level of independence while working on multiple projects including being the technical lead for clinical trials. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking, initiative and effective stakeholder management in the execution of their projects.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Works in a GMP/GCP/GLP/CLIA regulated environment and is responsible for following all applicable regulations
• Plans and executes multi-parameter flow cytometry-based testing of patient specimens
• Analyzes and reviews patient flow cytometry data using FlowJo software
• Reports and transfer data using LIMS, laboratory database management software
• Leads technical discussions pertaining to clinical trial testing with project managers, sponsors and other stakeholders
• Authors and reviews technical documents including but not limited to assay work instructions, reports, study requirement documents and presentations
• Collaborates cross functionally with colleagues on various projects as needed
• Uses critical thinking skills to analyze data for making recommendations to more senior scientific staff

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• PhD with minimum 0-2 years of experience or MS with minimum of 4 years direct relevant experience or BS/BA with scientific emphasis with minimum of 8, preferably 10 years of direct relevant experience
• Demonstrate an understanding of, and the ability to apply principles, concepts, practices and standards associated with sample testing in a clinical laboratory setting
• Experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry (10 colors or more)
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and core competences
• Good time management and prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Critical thinker and team player
• Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Desirable requirements:
• Deep knowledge in immunology and T cell biology pertaining to the flow cytometry-based characterization and phenotyping of T cells in different disease areas is strongly preferred
• Previous experience in phenotyping of normal and abnormal immune cell subsets is encouraged
